Homebrew black screen

when i try to boot up mario sunshine and or fire emblem path of radiance it just goes to a black screen i have mocha cfw already booted up to play the games but when i go to open the games them self boom black screen after the wii symbol on the gamepad but it doesnt go to nintendont to get it setup it just goes to a black screen and that is it and i have to manually turn off the wii u. i should also add that sometimes it works and other times it doesnt.

What do you mean by "it works and other times it doesn't"?

when i get the games onto my sd card after doing all the steps with the wiivc injector and install them onto my wii u all the gamecube games stop working the wii games are fine but i dont know if it has to do with nintendont, the bin, or there just being a bad iso

Is it possible to choose what fw to update to on a switch?
Or does Nintendo force update once wifi is active to latest fw
