I wanted to update the version of the application Tinfoil. I downloaded the newest version from the website en put it on the SD card. When I run the application it the message I got was it needed to install the application in NAND and I has to restart my Switch. I boot my Switch with the RCM Loader and the green light as I normally do but I when I see the Atmosphere logo the screen turn on black. The Switch will not boot into CFW mode.

Is there a way to fix it? What is NAND? When I installed the CFW a few months ago I created a NAND backup named rawnand.bin. Do I need this now? My Switch can boot normally.

Try to download a fresh copy of atmosphere and replace the atmosphere folder in your sd card.

After i downloaded Atmosphere from the Github site my Switch will boot into CFW. When I hold the R button or the right stick and press the Photo button it will not launch to screen with my homebrew apps like Goldleaf.

I solved. The file hbhomebrew.nro was not in the root of the SD card. The system updatet the firmware to 9.1.0 automatically. If I try to run CFW mode it gives me back the black screen again.

Just use the latest atmosphere. Blackscreen usually happens if your cfw isn't up to date with the latest nintendo firmware.

It will never update automatically, you must have accidentally said yes to the prompt.

You probably need to update both Hekate and Atmosphere, as well as the sig patches. Are you using Kosmos?

Yes, I am using Kosmos. Can you give me a link or instructions how to fix it?

You already updated Atmosphere to the latest, right?
So, remaining are:
- Update Hekate
- Update Hekate payload on your dongle or whatever you use to inject
- Replace SD:\atmosphere\reboot_payload.bin with the latest payload.bin from Hekate (just rename the file and overwrite the one that's already there) otherwise the console will black screen on reboot
- Update sig patches from https://github.com/Joonie86/hekate/releases (use the bootconfig version)

-Yes I updatet Atmosphere
-I never used Hekate before but I downloaded en copied in the right folder
-I am using RCM Loader. How can I inject the payload?
-I renamed the file reboot_payload.bin into payload.bin in the atmosphere folder
-I downloaded the sig patches and copied in the SD card

I still get a black screen if I boot. I tried the green en the purple lights on the RCM loader. The Switch can start normal. I also can get into recovery mode when I use the blue light.

I fixed my issue. I used this guide to fix it:
I was trying to use firmware 9.1.0 to upgrade with the application ChoidujourNX. But I receive error 0x805. Then I trying firmware 9.0.1 and it works. Now I am using Hekate. Should I upgrade to firmware 9.1.0 in the future or will every game work on CFW?

If you're using Kosmos, then you're using Hekate.

Nooooo, take the Hekate payload and name it reboot_payload.bin and replace the file. Don't take the file that's already there and rename it to something else... If you don't have a proper reboot_payload.bin rebooting will not work.

RCMLoader you just plug it in with USB and access the payloads like a flash drive.

I'm still on 8.1.0 lol. Haven't had a need to update yet. I'm not aware of any games that need 9.1.0.

I have a hard time turning on my Switch with Hekate in combination with my RCM loader. After multiple tries with the Switch boot into the Hekate menu. Is there a setting for this?

You should disregard everything I said before if you're not using Hekate/Kosmos. But I'm not sure what the issue is. Did you get it sorted?
