Homebrew Black Screen After Installing GBA CIA

I recently picked up my 3DS after not using it for half a year and I had functioning GBA games before, but now when I try to install a gba CIA I keep getting a black screen saying "An error has occurred." I have installed the CIA via SD and NAND so I don't know what the problem is. Not sure if for some reason all the CIAs which I have installed have been 'bad' CIAs. No idea...

If you could help me out that'd be great!

I've been trying to install a FIXED save version of FireRed, but I keep getting the black screen of death..

So when booting into Mini Pasta do I need to be in sysNAND first? Sooo

Sysnand > Mini Pasta > Emunand?

I just ran mini pasta from sysNAND into emuNAND and I still get the black screen

I just booted mini pasta via emuNAND and still no fix... This is frustrating

So I accidentally deleted a PKMN game and I have installed the same game but a different version is there a way to recover the save data?

Or is the save data deleted with the game? Aw man...
