Did you ever have to eat the weirdest things when you were young? I'm not talking about things you just didn't like or things from other cultures you weren't use to. I mean combinations of things that don't go together. My dad used to put celery and olives in spaghetti. I lived with it but never liked it. Once my mom made pancakes with zucchini in them. They were slimy. I refused to eat any after the first bite. She got mad and told me "there are starving kids in the world that would eat that". "Send it to them" was my reply as I slide the plate away from me. She was not having my sass, but I was not having that slop.

Surströmming. My parents never made me eat this but it does count as a bizarre food. My mother did serve me raw milk.
