The Donkey Kong franchise is dead since Rareware left Nintendo.. they were the ones that made the Donkey Kong Country series and DK64.. the Game Cube Donkey Kong games are just rhythm and racing games.. I don't think Nintendo is planing to bring it back..

Kirby is already confirmed for the Wii if I'm not mistaken.. there are no details of it yet, but it was never a big Nintendo hit (not saying it's bad, I personally love the series, it's just not as popular as Metroid or Zelda).

A new Zelda? Eventually we'll have one.. but I doubt it will be this Christmas.. Zelda games usually take a lot of time to be made, if Nintendo announces a new one at E3.. we shouldn't be able to play it before Christmas 2009..

didn't they say a while ago that they were thinking of making a second zelda for the wii, it may be that, i mean 64 had 2 and so did gc, wii is bound to have at least two
I wouldn't be surprised if they released two more. (Besides Loz:TP Since Twilight was a port)

I noticed that no one ever mentions Pikmin for upcoming games...although the game is probably Animal Crossing. It would be great if they add in some good online features but I'd be fine with them just improving the core gameplay.

*Edit* New avatar showing my support for kirby.
Its already happening and yes I know there was that big fuss where apparently the Kirby game was cancelled but after all that Nintendo Japan said that though there isn't a release for Europe/US, it will be out in Japan in 2008.

If there's a new Earthbound game that has Nintendo's best people working on it, I'll cream myself.

Though its a great series its not exactly a big name game.

You people do overreact, its only a game.

Anyway have you heard of a Kirby game (not for that SNES satellite service thing) that didn't come out in English?

I for one would actually like something new. Nintendo quality but new name. The franchises are just restricting nintendo to specific gameplay mechanics they can't change too much without pissing off the fanboys.

New DS Pokemon games this year for the DS, are coming ... Darkness & Time Mystery Dungeons are out next month ... and Ranger 2 is coming out in English quite soon...ish, on DS.

On the Wii, there's that downloadable Pokemon Farm thing, for the VC.

I would still like to see a Gen IV Gold/Silver remake, very much.

yeah but Zelda Wii has been in the making 1 year before Wii's release
I think it's been enough time

I really hope it is something new apart from their regular franchises

@coolbho3000: i'd rather a Gen IV Pokemon game with every single Region and 32 gyms

I was thinking now.. and just realized that there's no "big" Nintendo release for the DS scheduled for 2008 yet..

I mean.. there's some good stuff coming but they're all third party (Dragon Quest IX, Ninja Gaiden, etc).. there's no Nintendo game scheduled for this year.. and that's not normal.. I mean, we had Zelda and Pokemon last year and New SMB and Metroid the year before that.. I feel that Nintendo is hiding something.. E3 is looking very promising this year

How about Mario Kart's a racing game as well - F-Zero's out of the question.

Anyway, HOW BOUT I HOPE IKARUGA WII COMES OUT EVEN IF IT'S NOT A FIRST PARTY GAME.

I'm putting some money on a full Pokemon adventure on the Wii to coincide with the WiiWare.
But I guess the Animal Crossing thing sounds more plausible.

Not much of a fan of Animal Crossing though, it's too non-linear.
I just want a game that I complete.
