big game for christmas

it seems nintendo will be releasing a big game for christmas here is the quote from the omn website:

Mario Kart and Smash Bros. are two of this year's biggest games but Nintendo is set to make another 'fantastic announcement' at this year's E3 games show which will be hld in LA this July.

Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo's US President, has told GameTrailers TV that "There's going to be big game for the holiday that every gamer will want"

He refused to elaborate further, simply saying "All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited."

In the same interview, Fils Aime talked of "maximising all of our key franchises," so does that mean that an old favourite is set to return?​

It will be Animal Crossing, I can think of many many other games I'd rather have but that will be the one that comes out.

I don't think they'll have much for the DS to be honest as it is doing too well, when sales for that drops then they'll maybe pull out some more big guns for that.

As long as they improve Animal Crossing, i'm all for it, Make it better than the DS version.
This should be Nintendo's chance to improve Online play.

Reckon you lot are right, it's got to be Animal Crossing. Hits the "expanded audience", and if the game's as big as they're making out then there's no way they could've kept a lid on it to be a title that no-one's heard of. They also cited Mario Kart as being a sucess of "this year", so they must be talking about the Wii, looks like the DS doesn't get a mention.

Biggest Nintendo franchises imo are Mario, Zelda, Smash Bros and Pokemon.. those are the ones that sell more.. aside from stuff like Wiifit and Brain training of course, but Reggie said it would be something for gamers.. all those already have Wii games and I don't think Nintendo will make another one so soon..

We all know that Animal Crossing is coming out.. but I don't think that Animal Crossing is something that "every gamer will want" like he stated.. of course, he's probably just hyping it

I hope for a new Star Fox and/or FZero..

Might be the new Kingdom Hearts game. Plans for a DS version are in the works, and there were rumors circulating where a wii version may be made. God, Kingdom Hearts would be so awsome on the wii

God please let Nintendo make Animal Crossing into an MMO.But if they do but there going to have it so toned down on the communications/online part that it won't be much fun.
