Hardware BestBuy cancelled pre-orders for 3DS XL MM3D edition

i think i'm in the clear, i actually got lucky and ordered before it was posted to any site that it was up. and of course i only ordered one.
i'm glad scalpers got screwed over but i feel especially bad for anyone who overpaid on ebay and still isn't getting one.

Someone only ordered one was also cancelled by bestbuy. Bestbuy sucks.

they are giving people $50 coupons to make up for it, no other retailer would do that.
when target didn't deliver a single pikachu 3ds ordered online a few years ago they did nothing.
if it turns out gamestop or target or frys oversold this time around best buy customers are going to be the only ones getting anything.

I like best buy because their return policy. GameStop's return policy is not perfect.

There isn't a lawsuit to follow, right? It wasn't at the customers request to cancel it.

I do agree though. Now I might have a chance. So sick of scalpers pulling this shit.

Just like customers have a right to return products, Best Buy has a right to refuse service. If you got them to sign a contract saying they would go through with your order that's another story, but pre-ordering a product is just place-holding for a fee. If Best Buy doesn't want to hold your place anymore they can just return the fee. Casinos can kick you out for cheating as long as they cash your chips. Best Buy can kick you out for scalping as long as they return your money.
