Hacking best way to get updated?

trying to update my 2ds cfw to luma3ds i am using cakes at the moment, no idea if i have to start from scratch no idea what hax i am using to boot the cfw either, would like to just be able to boot right into cfw and update it on nintendo servers aswell not having to worry about bricking it, right now i hold the down button to load a menu and press the cake icon then bootcfw if i dont hold the down button it boots into real firmware, cause i am giving it to my daughter.

Just start the guide from beginning to the end. You'll be set up with the latest CFW/entrypoint being Luma3DS/A9LH

You install the FBI.cia in the process

at this point the guide the guide already had you install fbi.cia . . . assuming you did all steps

i did all steps but at the end it told me to restore health and safety which made it go back to normal, the only icons i have are homebrew channel and luma updater
