Hey everyone, I'm in the process of setting up my homebrew environment on my Switch and I've come across a few things I'm unsure about. I’m hoping to get some clarification from you all.
- USB 3.0: Should it be enabled?I see an option for enabling USB 3.0 in the settings. I’m wondering if it should be enabled or if there are any potential issues with performance or compatibility. I’m mainly using the Switch for homebrew, so is this something I need on or off?
- What does 'ro' mean?In the settings, I came across the term 'ro'. Can someone explain what it refers to? I’m guessing it has something to do with system permissions, but I’m not sure about its exact function.
- What does 'lm' mean?Similarly, I noticed 'lm' in some configurations. Any idea what this stands for or does? I couldn’t find much info about it, so I’d appreciate some clarity here.
- ERPT Reports: What are they and should I delete them? There’s a folder called erpt_reports on my system that contains a lot of files. From what I understand, these are error reports, but I’m wondering if they’re actually useful or if I can delete them without causing issues. The option to control these reports mentions automatic cleaning — should I disable this, or is there any reason to keep the reports around?
- Correct Path for 'system_settings.ini'?I came across an old thread that mentioned the path for system_settings.ini as /atmosphere/system_settings.ini, but in my setup, the file is located in /atmosphere/config/system_settings.ini. Is this the correct location, or did something change in recent updates?
- Should i delete fatal errors, fatal reports, and crash reports file contents? I see a few files in those folders and not sure how to analyze them. is there anyone i can send them to so they can tell me what caused those crashes&errors?
I apologize for all the questions! I’m coming from RGH modding and just want to make sure I’m setting up everything the best way possible. Thanks in advance for your help!
