Ok, so lately I've wanted a good RTS game for the DS - one that involves building a barracks, training fighters, etc. Basically a clone of Warcraft or Command & Conquer. I looked at Ys Strategy but the AI and controls on that game are horrid. I tried A Touch of War, but I couldn't make heads or tails of it. So does anyone know of a good RTS game?

Robocalypse and Heroes of Mana are about the only two quality RTSes along the lines you're referring to. Sure, there's Revenant Wings and Lock' Quest, among others, but if you want something close to Warcraft on DS, the first two I mentioned are what you're looking for. HoM, though, was difficult for me to get into. Robocalypse, I think, has done the best job so far with this type of RTS.

Well, I tried some.
Robocalypse is ridiculously childish, but it's got that C&C element... kind of.
Command and Destroy is really slow, but seems promising.
Locks Quest isn't even a RTS. It's more of a touch-controlled hack and slash with... wall building.
FF12: RW isn't what I wanted, but it's still fun.

Lock's Quest is definitely a great rts game and pretty unique as well. Ninjatown is great also, with some comedic value thrown in. Unfortunately, if you thought Robocalypse was childish, you probably won't like Ninjatown.

Give Summon Night:Twin Age a try. It's a good rts with a nice artistic style. Nothing too fancy, but if you are into rts game (which I'm not) you might like it.
