RPG is a very broad term, what kind were you looking for?

Allow me to specify for Hyro-Sama.

    Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga
Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga 2
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 FES (Don't bother with the regular version, this one has more content and a rebalanced social link system.)
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 (Warning! This one is gaming crack cocaine!)
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoa Versus The Soulless Army
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoa Versus King Abbadon

    I think that's it.

I would also recommend Dragon Quest 8, Tales of the Abyss, Odin Sphere, Soul Eater, Disgaea 1 and 2 (or if you can get the PSP versions of those, do that instead), Makai Kingdom, Xenosaga 1, 2, and 3, Star Ocean: Until The End of Time, and Rogue Galaxy.

If I think of more, I'll put it up later.

Bortz is right OP, get DQ 8. It has the best soundtrack I've ever heard in a video game.

Ar Tonelico I & II, Sakura Wars (at least I like it). Mana Khemia I & II, Atelier Iris series.

FFX was a good choice to get and I'll have to agree with most others here on DQ8.

    rogue galaxy
    tales of the abyss
disgaea (1&2) (psp version has more stuff)
    shadow hearts covenant
    arc the lad

I would add dark cloud 2 because there's not a lot of game of that style on ps2.

Okami (while it's not strictly a rpg (more zelda like), the game is a must play)

Tales of Symphonia was on PS2, right? I played it on GC, but it is a seriously kick-ass game.
