I see lots of 3rd party companies offering their own improved controllers for things like Playstation and Xbox, and even retro consoles like Dreamcast and N64, but I have to wonder... Why has no one made an "elite" or "pro" version of the Wiimote, with internal batteries, USB-C, extra buttons, profiles and such? I know Switch and even PS4 controllers have gyro, you can even add gyro aiming to an Xbox controller by attaching a Brook adapter to mimic a switch controller. I used to use a combination of PPjoy and Glovepie with a wiimote, but now I'm finding it impossible to install the software on my newer computer.

Is there some ultra fancy "gaming air mouse" I don't know about? Or perhaps VR controllers without having to invest in a whole VR setup? What are my options?
