Was wondering what I should use on my o3ds for a gb/gbc emulator: GameYob, or one of the libretro gb/gbc cores? I would like to use an emulator instead of VC injects.

Gameyob is definitely a better choice. Aside from barely noticeable cracking occasionally in audio, it does the job fantastically.

Hey, just my advice. You can take it or leave it. I've had no problems with Gameyob and I'd rather use an emulator that's been built from the ground up and can hold its own over a retroarch port if applicable.

mgba (with the GBA bios) is good. It ran gbc games a lot better than GameYob for me (new 3DS)

Oh yeah, mGBA does that now, doesn't it? Forgot they added that into the main app.
