I'm a reasonably hardcore Fire Emblem fan, and I didn't enjoy Shadow Dragon as much as the GBA titles, but I feel it is a series you should definitely have a look at. If you only have a DS flashcart then you might as well try it out.

I voted for FFTA2 out of that lot, because I'm not a FF fan, but it's a good game. I would have gone Advance Wars had it been up, because that's even better.

My suggestion is the damn SEARCH BAR. We don't need a new "list every RPG you can" thread every morning, yet it keeps happening. The answers aren't gonna change.

This is for a specific kind I'm looking for which is strategy RPG. Not RPG's in general. Also, I'm not asking people to list, but I'm asking them which ones out of the ones already listed are best. Because I want one game on my DS that falls into the given genre and I want to find out which they think are the best. I do not think there are many threads like this yet, that ask people to say which is best for a specific genre , and not all of the games from the genre they know of. That's why I started a friggin poll.

anyway, i would say Knights in the nightmare... the gameplay is very hard and fun and addicting...

KitN and SMTS are among the best.
they're both amazing games, and if you haven't got enough space,
then just delete something! or buy an extra sd card.

Knights in the nightmare is incredibly easy and somewhat boring...
Though it looks nice.

Back on topic, just started playing Luminous Arc 2 - it's quite nice, LOTS of story - as per most good JRPGs, actual gameplay all good. Has swearing, which caught me by suprise but also helped solidify the reality the game is portraying.

But seriously, why bother? Just pirate them all, so much classics out there, very hard to choose!

Maybe you should use the SEARCH button to find what a "Strategy RPG" is before posting.

Anyway, I've gotten completely sick of SRPG games, but I did like Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon a bit before hand. It was the last DS game I purchased.

These two speak the truth. FE is the best on your list, IMO. If I didn't like Metal Gear Solid so much, that would be theme of my avatar and sig.

I agree. That's the only reason why I stopped playing that game. I thought I was confused by the story, but no, it was the lack of having one that confused me.

I was so pissed at A2. i had such high hopes for it being a good successor of FFTA. But i missed the laws no matter how annoying, cause they made the game fun. The judges just turned into snotty bitches cause if you did something wrong (nevermind the enemies who could break the law all day long) they turned their back on you and you started losing party members for the rest of battle.

Disgaea is the best on the poll for true strategy with a perfect learning curve and difficulty

Valkyrie Profiles would be my 2nd choice purely because i found that game really fun altho it was a little short and its replay value was slim compared to disgaea which in my opinion has infinate replay value
