How do I know if my flash card has the timebomb shit?
Set your date to a further date, like a year and see if it boots, if it does, it doesn't have timebomb. Vice versa for not booting. Just set it back to your normal date if your flashcart does have a timebomb.

Mine has this crap, sadly :(
How I can bypass this, besides set back the date on the 3DS?

The ak2i doesn't have dsi enhancement capabilities but is overall a great cart. I ordered 3 of them about 6-7 years ago and they all still work fine. The only reason the r4i gold might be a better option is that it also works on the latest dsi firmware (1.4.5) while the ak2i doesn't. Also, a bit less important but still a nice feature of the r4i gold is that it's compatible with the forwarder software on the 3ds, meaning that you can run ds games from the 3ds menu.

EDIT - apparently the developer of the forwarding software is looking into making it compatible with the ak2i :)

EDIT 2 - also, in case you are going for the r4i gold card make sure it's the R4i Gold 3DS RTS one

That cart likely has an expiry date in the kernel so every year when it expires you have to set back the date on the 3DS (which messes with time based events in games) while you wait for them to release a kernel update. If they don't release an update, you'll have to keep setting back the time just for the cart to work. Not worth saving a couple bucks for.
Im looking into a new flashcart. This one was fairly cheap and does what i need for now

I've had two DSi-Mode flashcarts before; the R4i Gold RTS 3DS, and the SuperCard DSTwo Plus. These are really the two big ones right now.

R4i ($18 avg.) http://www.modchipsdirect.com/r4i-3ds-r4ds-wood.html
Pros:
-Near perfect compatibility
-High community support
-Easily reskinnable
-AR support
-Real-Time savestates
-Upgrade-able firmware (future-proof)
Cons:
-Inconsistent compatibility with savestates
-Soft reset is not supported on very large games, such as Pokemon
Neutral:
-Non-spring-loaded MicroSD slot
-Uses WoodR4

SCDS2+($30-40 avg.) http://www.modchipsdirect.com/supercard-ds2-plus-ds-two-plus.html
Pros:
-Near perfect compatibility
-AR support
-Real-Time savestates
-Real-Time memory hacking
-Real-Time speed hacking
-In-Game guide (txt, png) support
-GBA Support through TempGBA
-SNES Support through CatSFC(also supported on R4 through SNEmulDS, albeit with lower compatibility)
-3DS Support (emulated Gateway)
-Non-converted media support (mp3, etc)
-Upgrade-able firmware (future-proof)
Cons:
-Higher Price
-3DS Gateway mode is outdated or dangerous (not a problem if you don't use/install it)
-Hefty Cart, can be difficult to remove, doesn't properly fit in DSi/NDS
-Somewhat higher power consumption than the R4i
Neutral:
-Spring-loaded MicroSD Slot
-Uses exclusive Evolution OS

I ordered both of them from ModChipsDirect. I'd honestly recommend the R4i for most people, especially if you have CFW. That having been said, I love my SCDS2+ and almost never remove it. I do still keep my R4i around, just in case.

I see. Does that R4 have a timebomb? And does it have anti anti-piracy?

Does the DSTwo Plus play 3ds games on 11.0 A9LH?

Can you use hotkeys to make and load save states in DS games on the R4i Gold Pro? On the DStwo, you have to go into the cart menu to make and load them with no hotkey support.

How does that work? Doesn't that interfere with the touch screen? I mean NDS ROMs. On the DSTwo you have to enter the menu by pressing L+R+Start/Select then save from there.
Sorry... I was thimking of the NES emulator on my flashcart. For DS ROMS i usually use the in game save functions

Does the DSTwo Plus play 3ds games on 11.0 A9LH?

Sent from my Browser on a New 3DS XL with A9LH
Sadly, no. The SCDS2+ Gateway Emulation was rendered unusable on newer version by the gateway team, and will brick your console. 3DS mode only works on 4.5 sysNAND + 9.2 emuNAND. I never bother with it, and just use CFW.

This is a very popular and reputable cart, and one that's been in widespread use since not long after the 3DS launch - I'd be very surprised if it had a time bomb.
And no, neither cards trip anti-piracy protection on any known games.
