I was gonna vote for either Doom or Quake but went with CS since that's the oldie I played most (even better it was with local multiplayer!).

If by classic you mean a mindless shooting spree then oobviously Unreal Tournament - it's the pinnacle of that kind of gameplay and everything went downhill from there. If you mean an FPS with at least a premise then Quake 2 which in my eyes is superior to Quake in every way. If you want a story-driven one then you can't go wrong with Half Life.

Half-Life has not made me feel in power in ANY part of the game. I always felt scared, alone and with limited ammo. It was good, but in a different way than everything else. As soon as you fill your ammo on Doom, you know that you are going to kick some ass.

EDIT: forgot my choice. It's 2am, please understand XD
Most of them are very good, but Final Doom is the insanity I love when fighting extraterrestrial enemies.

I went for the obvious choice. There's far too much bubble gum in all the other options.

That's how I feel, too. Doom made me feel like I was some nerdy guy trying to impress the hottest girl in town. Turn around, shoot, pick up some ammo, dodge the fireballs, kill. Repeat.

I went for the obvious choice. There's far too much bubble gum in all the other options.
And that 'obvious' choice is?

Huge fan of Half-life 1 and especially opposing force. Half life 2 was amazing as well, though the episodes afterwards only served to further screw up the story and leave more questions unaswered lol.

Also, Timesplitters 2 for Gamecube is great (gotta love that story mode).

Hell, Wolfenstein The New Order, was one of my favorite games of last year.

Don't get me wrong though, Doom is pretty fantastic as well, so are a lot of the games on that list.

Can't wait for Doom reboot this year.
