Yoshi's Island isn't a 3-D platformer. It's 2-D.

I'll throw out Super Mario 64 DS. I liked it on the DS more than anywhere else for some reason. I'm just a whore for D-Pad controls.

Crash Mind over Mutant is 2d but Crash of the Titans is 3d and is actually pretty amazing game for DS. There's also Mini Ninjas and the new Legend of Kay but they're action 3d platformers both a bit of a let down, also there's a couple of Spyro 3d games and a Death Jr.
Hope this helps.

If you want good 3-D platformers, you're using the wrong system. Go get a PSP and play some of the PSX classics. Crash 1-3 and Spyro 1-3 are all great games. Spyro 3 beats Super Mario 64 any day in my book. The DS is mainly 2-D platformers; it has the power for 3-D ones but it's just easier and better to make 2-D ones.

Allow me to recommend Ninjabread Man for Wii. I think you'll really love that one, considering your obvious taste in platformers.

how about star wars:force unleashed and jedi alliance?

they're both 3d...I gueeeeees they could fit into the platformer genre...more like a beat'em up but whatever...

Good 2D platformers:

Great Giana Sisters - a tribute/rip off of Super Mario Bros original flavor
Crash Jack Of All Trades - Actually has some pretty good 3D moments
Tak - 2D with 3D rendered graphics, actually plays a bit like a Tomba homage

Your mileage may vary with any of the Gryptonite Games (Spiderman, Wolverine, Iron Man 2, Night at the Museum 2, Assassin's Creed 2). Some like them but I find the game engine they use and the controls/platforming to be pretty repetitive.

I really liked Legend of Spyro: Eternal Night lol..

It definitely falls under the category of 3D Platformer, and apart from a few camera issues and the short length, I actually enjoyed it :/

(Resolution is a bit screwed up though)

Or the next game, Dawn of the Dragon is okay but it's more 2.5D (3D graphics, but in a 2D plane)

Lol this ^ most definitely.
Some of the first things I bought for my PSP was the 3 crash games, and the first 2 spyro games.
Also Rayman.
PS1 had amazing platformers, and they're just as amazing on the PSP.
