Hi everyone,

I have a DSi black with a ezflash Vi card.

I havent done anything with it in over 3 years. I just recently decided to update the DS system firmware to 1.4.4A.

By doing so I think i blocked my EzVi card.

I played Mario the night before. The next morning when i woke up an updated it, it wouldn't load.

This is what i have:

EzVi with firmware 1.08 and kernel 3.08 i think.
The DS has the latest firmware 1.4.4a.

This is what i did. I loaded the bin then the shell folder. Put the 1.08 firmware and the newsupermariobros.nds file.

This is the error i get: The top(display)screen stays completely black and the bottom(touch) says the following:

"An error has occurred. Press and hold the POWER Button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for details."

This might also be handy: the rest of the features works just fine. One thing i haven't tried is inserting an original game into the card slot and see if that works.

I never owned an original game, but I already took my DS to a gaming and modding store. The guy inserted his own flash card and it worked perfectly.

This made me think that its my flash card that has an issue and not my DS. He sells his flash cards for 150 bucks. Which is waay overpriced.

My question is: Does anyone else have this problem and if so, how did you fix it.

Thank you for your time and answers, and have a nice day.

You need to up date the firmware on the EZ5... The actual cart, not the software on the SD. You are going to need a DS that you can still use the EZ5 on: a fat, a lite or a DSi that has not been updated. You can download the latest firmware from the EZFlash site, drop it on the SD and run it just like it was a game and follow the instructions.
