Yep. And it somehow manages to be even worse than the GBA Dynasty Warriors.

I'm surprised no one yet has mentioned Viewtiful Joe: Double Trouble. Great graphics and fun too.

first off, he has his genres mixed up. a beat'em up is like a final fight style game..side scrolling and fight your way through thugs and bad guys till you get to the end of the level. fighting games are one fighter vs another (or 2 or 3 if its a tag team game like marvel vs capcom 2) with rounds. hate it when people confuse the 2 genres. and id say games like guilty gear on ds, jump ultimate stars, smash brothers, are like party style fighters..not sure how i'd categorize them..they arent as deep as regular fighters

yeah. i am talking about "versus fighting games" or "competitive fighting games".

no sidescroller games like "ninja gaiden" or "viewtiful joe" etc.

a friend of mine showed tekken 5 on the psp to me today and thats the kind of game i was hoping for.

bleach or mortal combat just can not compete with that ;(

Well, of course,just like you can't expect FFT:Lion War to compete with FFTA2, those two are a completely different game and in different platform

Sadly, there really aren't that good fighting games for the DS, except Jump Ultimate stars, which is kind of like SSBs, in a way.

Bleach DS is a good game, with a good amount of depth, but it's nothing like a console fighter.

An option is to use the Neo-Geo emulator on the DS, and play King Of Fighters, which is a good franchise.

It's so sad that the DS doesn't have any good fighters. I wish there was a Tekken DS. I mean, there was a Tekken for the GBA, which actually looked decent for a GBA game. Can't there be one like that?!

Dont think anyone has mentioned Transformers Autobots or Descepticons yet.. Its a story mode kinda thing, bit like GTA but with robots instead.. Pretty fun..

Seriously, you don't want to paly a fighting game in NDS with high expectations. That's the reason why there are systems named PSP, PS2, PS3, XBOX, and XBOX 360

sure if i had the money i wouldnt bother posting here but buy all the consoles i do not have yet ^^

but you forgot that there was soul calibur 2 on gamecube and tekken on gba! so it is not like a nintendo platform never had any decent fighting game!

Well, I never own GBA nor GameCube, just NES, SNES, and NDS, so ya, I don't know about their presence, I don't even know are there any other fighitng games for PS3 other than Virtua Fighter, Naruto, and Tekken, since I don't own one.

Well, Dragonball is coming, so you might want to wait for that one, or.. has it been out?

I don't know about you, but I spend most of my time in GTA beating up prostitutes.

I wouldn't call a one-on-one fighter a "Beat 'em up" tbh.
