Don't be too quick to make judgements. I've tried LP+ twice and it broke my ak2i. Twice I had to reflash the card to unbrick it. Also a chinese forum has confirmed that using FAT16 on this game (and possibly other 4096mb titles) will fix this bug. Until something can be done there's definitely something amiss with FAT32 and 512MB games..

You couldn't reflash an acekard if it was bricked. The only was to flash an acekard is to actually have it running on your DS in the first place to run the flasher application, which if it was actually "bricked" would be impossible. So your quite clearly talking complete bullshit.

Theoretically, it was bricked since the DSi could not recognize it after I ran LP+. I don't have to make it clear that I managed to revive it using the flasher application on a DSL which I have access to obviously. I have nothing against the ak2i and AKAIO but these are facts. It cannot play certain roms properly without bricking for now. I don't want to argue with a stubborn "bull" like you who's thinks whoever had his ak2i bricked by playing LP+ is talking "shit"

If you want to maintain your status quo, be my guest...

There is no point for you to start name calling, whatsoever. As many others have stated here, the rom works perfectly on their Acekard. The only incident that "bricked" the Acekard was the one about Love Plus +. They aren't facts as much as they are rumors. No one really knows, but it leans more towards rumor, because it works with the Acekard (Elixirdream tested his and it works great)

Problem is I and many others can't find any evidence and/or any code in the game to do any 'bricking' which effectively means anyone who 'bricked' their flashcart was either very unlikely or downloaded a bad rom which either included a bricker for whatever reason.

Or they just lied.
I have no idea, but I know it didn't happen to many Acekards.

However, wouldnt it work with the multiple cart flashing?

You use a working acekard, select multiple carts, and then swap them

Thoob is talking 'complete bullshit'. It's known you can easily unbrick the Acekard 2i, even Normmatt says so in the first post of the update thread

QUOTE(Normmatt @ Aug 17 2009, 12:16 PM)
NOTE: the dsl one can be used to salvage any bricked ak2i's caused by this update but must be used on a dsl or ds phat

Notice the date/ time on Normmatt's post.

It doesn't even have to be an Acekard which launches the update. In my Acekard guide which has an unbricking section, I unbricked mine with a R4 to check what I had written in my guide was correct (even though I have multiple AK2i's). It really is common knowledge, I don't know why Thoob would sprout such rubbish.

Notice the long CHIP ID, this changed back to the normal 0FC2 after unbricking. Note: It wasn't bricked with either of these games, it was where I was messing around with it.

I have the updating/ unbricking section of my guide split into it's own post http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=231410

Not the rumor, it is the ture thing....
if the game size is 4096Mbit and your tf (sdmicro) is
FAT32 format, play this game will break your Ak2i
That's a load of baloney. The accusation that Love Plus+ bricks the Acekard was made by a Supercard forum member. Most likely he was just seizing the opportunity to advertise the Supercard DSTwo just because one member had a hardware malfunction on his AK2i which caused the bootloader to become corrupted and it just happened to be that the member ran Love Plus+. Its nearly impossible for Nintendo to spoof up an AP of such complexity that it overwrites the bootloader of only ONE of the many flashcards for the Nintendo DS/DS Lite/DSi/DSi XL. Doesn't make any sense and plus, a BUNCH of members said it worked fine on their AK2i's.

In the event that your AK2i is bricked for some reason, try this post.

Thanks !!!! Apparently the fwupdate does revive my Acekard2i. I tried running Loveplus+ the other day, it works fine for the first time, but the moment I restarted my DSL my Acekard is a goner. I know that not everyone experience this problem, so please everyone, don't be so quick to judge... I m sure that victims out there does not enjoy having their Acekard "gone haywire" ("brick" doesnt seems to be the proper term in this case), I m one of the victim too...

"Gone Haywire" isn't the proper term either.

I've played Love Plus+, and it works fine. I've tried Inazuma 3 too, and there's no problem. It must have been because of the rom you used. I don't see any other explanation. Why would it work for some and not for others? It's awkward.

Bad batch possibly?

I can't see it being a bad batch, not when only 2 games out of 5,000 cause it. More likely bad luck, or down to the MicroSD card as these games are very large.

I did notice that. Maybe, since these files are so big, when they were loading, something went wrong? Like a bad processing or something. This is weird.

That is a possibility, but it'd be stupid to shut down your DS while it's writing down some stuff. Did the Acekard Team say anything about this?
Oh, Suikoden Tierkreis and Professor Layton worked fine for me.
