Hardware Battery Trouble

So yesterday I did a battery replacement on my Switch Lite and it worked pretty well, it was adjusting to the new power since the percentage was going down pretty quick, but it still worked for the most part. Today it was at 1% so I just charged it and played a few games while I was at it til it was at 100%. An hour passed by and it was still at 1%, this never happened before so I'm a little concerned on what it'll happen if I turn it off. Will it be dead and I have to wait even longer for it to hopefully be turn back on again or is it gonna be stuck at 1% for good?
