Hacking Battery stuff

My DSi Battery life is shortening and im going to replace the battery. I looked at Radioshack.com and found only ds phat and lite batteries would they work on dsi?

Thanks I Know this is a noob question but I never changed a gameboy or ds battery be4

No. Totally different batteries.

Get a cable and external battery like I have for topping it up (see sig).

This has the advantage of not only extending your current machine without risking getting an incompatible battery but also helps when you do have a new one. Future proof!

Actually I have a higher capacity battery in my DSL than it came with but I still have to use my external solution after marathon gaming sessions (or from it being on standby whilst at work).
