none that i know of, but licks media player (ipod thingy) whatever its called has some battery meter
Yeah, but the only thing it does it detect if the light of the DS is red or green, just like the DS firmware itself does.

aww a battery checker would be helpful since the red light doesnt actually show the accurate percentage of battery left... once i was playing (button mashing) phoenix wright and my ds ran out of battery....sigh i had to button mash all over again

what would be nice, is if they made them totally different colours, as im colour blind on red and green, so i will be just playing and then BAM it goes off without me realising

Disgaea DS has an option to display battery (low or high)

Do a LED colour mod on it. or ask Console Doctor to. ( www.consoledoctor.co.uk )

I hear the DS Lite i, will have a better battery checker, maybe using that software... maybe... Most likely not though.

Can't be done. The DS hardware itself only reports two states: battery good (green light) and battery low (red light). There's no way to read the amount of charge left in between these two states.

Only way to do it would be to get a battery that can monitor its own charge, which would be completely independent of the DS hardware. I don't think such batteries exist, but I could be wrong.

dam i hate going to school not realising how much battery i have left oh well >.< would be useful tho

bringing your ds to school and playing in class is not good!!! ive had a bad experience so dont take the risk

would you like to explain? xD and for my school you just ask the teacher and about 50% will let ya

ahaha, i'd like an app that would tell me how much batt is left.

Being colorblind does not help. You don't even realize that it's already red when suddenly it shuts off!

a battery bar will be a useful tool indeed. knowing nintendo however thats just as likely as lets say.......someone localizing a good horse racing game instead of getting yet another piece of equestrian shovelware

I would like to tell you about a mythical feature currently implemented on all DS models.

When the Power LED turns red, your battery is low.

Searching for an accurate battery capacity is impossible, I'm sorry.

You can only detect Low/High/Charging.
If someone could knows more information than me please prove me wrong.

No slot 2 and basically all slot 1s will freeze or not work. A camera big deal my flashcard has all the other features already.
I'll pass...

Since when was this topic about the DSi?

lol yeah don't bring your DS to school all the time

it would be nice to have a battery meter or even a log of how many hours played since last charge (that would be sufficient to determine whether or not your ds will last through the day I think...)
