I just started to play this game the other day after having it for so long, but for some reason it wont save like it's supposed to.

Might be a "Games for Windows Live" issue. Google a bit and see what comes up. I know Bioshock 2 bugs you to login and then the 'continue' option is available. Haven't tried to not login and see if the saves were still accessible under the load screen.
