EDIT: NEW THREAD http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=138128

The use of this little tool I made is to decompress the system menu ASH files easliy without dragging and dropping or without using cmd.
This is the first time I use batches so please be nice with me cause I wasn't born in the DOS years and now with AutoIt GUI (only 13 years old)

Here is the readme from Batch-ASH

Code:
Batch-ASH Readme

Use of this:
The use of these tool is to decompress ASH files used in the Wiis system menu without the all the fuss of drag and dropping or using cmd.

Instructions:

Unzip the exe of the ZIP in the same folder as you app_out folder (Example: lets say your 00000001_app_out folder is in C:\CSM. That means you would have to extract the contents of the ZIP in C:\CSM.
MAKE SURE YOUR FOLDER NAME IS: 00000001_app_OUT
Use Batch-ASH.exe to select any ASH file.

Notes:
This is the first time I do any autoit so don't go saying it's crap cause I'm only 13
I did not make any command for \html\EU2\iplsetting.ash because it doesn't work with ASH.exe cause it's an ARC renamed to ASH.

Changelog:

v0.1
Initial release

v0.2
Added the ALL.bat which runs all other BAT files (You still need all of the bat files in the same folder)

v1.0
Created a nice GUI to choose wich ASH to decompress using AutoIt
Probbably the end of this tool unless you can give me some ideas to improve it at: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=136146

v1.1
Removed all batches cause they are now intergrated into Batch-ASH.exe

More Info:

http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=136146
for ASH.exe download here: http://crediar.no-ip.com/ASH_v0.1.rar

To come:
- 1 batch file to run them all (DONE)
- an interface in Autoit letting you choose wich ASH files to decompress (DONE)
- A program to:
- decompress ASH files using ASH.exe by Crediar (already done check my sig)
- encode ASH files using yaz0enc
- replace a TPL
- extract a .app
- compress a .app

All that just by ticking check boxes so that even n00bs will be able to make their own csm

Credits:
Crediar for the ASH.exe
and c0mputeRb0y for the batch files and my "hard" work

That's why I put hard inbetween "". I just thought it might be helpful for some people who don't know how to do it or can't be bothered but if your not happy then go somewhere else cause I was only trying to help people who can't do it. You know not everybody is a computer genius

you make a batch of tpl_viewer? please
biggrin.gif
?

could you give me a link to it cause I don't have it

EDIT: I won't be able to do anything until tomorrow cause now I'm going out to dinner with my family.

So I came home after being out with my family and decide to actually finish the AutoIt version before I go to sleep so here it is. For download link view the first post.
If you have questions or sugestions I'll answer them tomorrow cause it's 11:30 here and need some sleep

I did not make any batch file for \html\EU2\iplsetting.ash because it doesn't work with ASH.exe:
This is because iplsetting.ash isn't actually a ash file. Its a U8 archive renamed ash. just use u8tool to unpack it

Ok thanks. I'll change the readme.

Crediars Ash decompress is easy to use to, simple as:

-Right click on a ASH file
-Left Click on "Open With > "Choose a Default Program"
-Click browse, find the ASH.exe
-Click ok

Now whenever you double click (open) an ash file it will decompress it with just 2 clicks

(If you want to decompress them all at once, "Select all" "Enter" )

Well a lot of n00bs want to edit the menu so you might aswell give them some hope and help them

That's realy nice, althought I think I'll stay at Ctrl+A and then Drag and Drop

. But if you have free time, here's an idea for you:

Can you make one for the yaz0enc.exe? This App will compress back the decompressed .ash-Files, and never had a problem after compressing...AND the .app-Size is smaller...but you have to rename the files from .ash.yaz0 to .ash...and this takes time..

. Would there be a way to automate this?
