would it really be that bad if Nintendo went the route of digital games and a super late gen 8 console (not 8.5) and just ate a humongous bag of turds?

Microsoft tried to announce a digital/online/no sharing only route and it killed their stuff immediately. Fast forward three years and sony is the console that needs to be online and signed in to access digital stuff and other media stuff on the console and its a shamm....

If nintendo does eat giant turd burger and calls it quits on the console race, then everyones dreams of having a mario or smash on a sony console will be realized. Unless they just quit altogether or make the game in 720pwhich sounds like something they would do.

The funny thing is that nintendo is so greedy they dont see that candy crush and all of the other crap mobile games are imaginations of their own stuff. If they were to release a revised dr.mario for mobile it wouldnt be free and it would still cost to purchase extra per hour lives.

They cant think of simple things like developing a zelda dungeon maker or paper metroid, the simplest of ideas just recycled. No samus in mario kart 50? oh wait we have to buy her as dlc...

Nintendo is by no means the worst when it comes to DLC, I actually think they've been very fair about addon content

Ok, I actually will admit that with some games the Amiibo are kind of cancerous. However, for games like MK8, Splatoon, and Smash, I think $5-$15 is perfectly reasonable for the amount of extra content you get

$20 for extra content? its what they shoulda been charging for wiiu games from the start. Mario 3d world felt like half a game, same with Toadstool Treasure although it was $40. Splatoon MarioKart and Smash have little content on disc. Smash the full experience is easily $300. Animal Crossing amiibo cards festival $200+? $20 for one extra content hardly.... $60 for a zelda remake nobody asked for?....

The problem is at the moment, Nintendo cannot really get forgiveness from wii u owner after kind of betraying their high quality image. Nintendo is digging their own grave with the drop of quality. But we will have to see how this plays out further.

OH NO.... OHHHH NOOOOO. This is BADDD. I live in an area with bad wifi and almost no hotspots lmfao. I dont care about luigi, nobody cared about luigi. The year of luigi was the worst year ever for fans of nintendo and nintendo products.... more like age of luigi. Final Fantasy 15 is a bust, it took too long to develope that all the themes are screwed up as well as the character designs but thats a whole nother discussion. This latest rumor is bad imo

The usa is way behind in internet technologies. Sounds a lot like the beefy ouya machine i thought it might be.

Luigis mansion as its first game, sounds like gamecube again. Gamecube didnt sell good. Luigis mansion doesnt sell that well either, although both games were okay.

Theoretically more powerful than ps4 1.0? sounds like the wii u being theorectially more powerful than whatever its was supposed to be more powerful than. The 9 gb of ram sound bogus now even tho it sounded fake from the start but the hope was there.

Then again the price point will be the huge sell point. I dont feel like non nintendo consumers will really buy into the big splash. Zelda has already taken too long to develope and i know for sure it wont be as epic as nintendo thinks it is. But right now just give me the IOSU exploit with a Backuploader and emunand and ill be done with nintendo. That is until the next juicy rumor or topic pops up lol

Actually wigig/ widi would be better for the job. Two wigig and you can get wireless vr.

Pretty cool news about the NX basically being a PS4K with added remote play on steroids (if true). Not too gimmicky. Hopefully it's not really expensive either.

I just wonder what their plans are for replacing the 3ds. I hope they wait a little longer ... enjoying the cfw scene plenty for now.

I would give pay 500 bucks for a nx as powerful as ps4k. And also vr Metroid would be good.
I do see 3ds's replacement earlier than wii u's. Arm v7/ v8 might be easier to hack than 3ds' v6.
Though at this point I am rather worried about Nintendo's sale out side of Japan.
