I read only the first page and some comment on the second page, but can you comfirm me something?
The ban instruction isn't in Nintendo's server like most company (like the ip is temporarly ban)
the ban is in the console, right? So I guess that's why IOSU is awaited, because it could remove that ban instruction, right?

No. It's in the server, the server bans your console. The reason IOSU is wanted for unbanning is because you could change your consoles serial number to spoof the ban.

you can, it just won't work. it needs to be validated by Nintendo's servers and passed through.

Really, it's not the Wii where it's some Gecko Code. They locked shit down.

Unbanning anything = bad, but we must come to terms that it will inevitably happen.

I just hope its a couple years from now so I can enjoy some Splatoon.

you're saying that the server bans you but what if you're able to connect to an alternative server i.e a japanese server? maybe they only ban you from the servers which you played on? Is it possible to change the server that you're connecting to without IOSU?
