Hacking Ban questions for noobs

Hi guys I have been reading recently all about this 3ds bans and all that bad stuff so I was wondering I am kind of noob so I know they are other post about this but I want some more direct questions, so I have been reading that the people who get banned are people with public headers so Nintendo checks like peoples headers and they see that they have a public header and that people get the whole system banned or are they banning people like other way. I have my pokemon oras with my private header from my Mario 3ds land so is it safe to play with that one or are they other ways of safety. thanks

No one knows for sure so you are not going to get a definitive answer. It is speculated that a private header is more secure. A private header of the same game would seem even more secure. Going online by violating Nintendo's TOS is always going to involve some risk.
