Hello... I'm working on Way if Samurai 2 Portable translation. I need helped regarding the following files.
I need some more guidance/help on understanding how this file works. Its the ITEM list of the game.
I want to know those values after the headers. Are they Pointers? How does it works? Please help me on this. Thanks
BTW, I'm still a beginner on HEX editing... any help is greatly appreciated.

Why don't you try changing the values, and see how it changes how they function in the game?

I did experiment changing those values.. but game crashes. I want someone to analyze both files. 2 files in that RAR.
A US(PS2) and Japanese (PSP) ItemInfo.dat. I will use the US file... but within it have to add values for item location.

What sort of "analysis" are you expecting? These files are supposed to be read by a specific program. You can't just look at them as-is and know exactly how the program is going to interpret them. (Probably.)

So change the values differently, or change different values. Start with small changes that don't change the size of the file. Maybe there's a header at the start of the file that has to be altered to correspond to other edits..
