Yes it is November the first, but we also have a law in which all christian festivities become a long weekend on the next Monday. a weird thing, I know but because that we have 7 extra, long weekends on the year!! more days to ride my motorcycle.

We also have "Dušni dan" (Day of souls) on November 2nd but it's not a national holiday, all the related activities are done on All Saints' day, and the way Dušni dan is observed is with a bunch of newspaper articles saying "nooo you're doing Allhallows wrong!"
