Anyone else having trouble with 1:1 Mario Galaxy? I get a 'Disc Cannot Be Read' error on start up. Going to try it patched.
1:1 backup of super mario galaxy ntsc burned at 2.4x worked for me, patched worked also

Crazy. Maybe a bad burn. I'm going to try it patched anyway.

NHL2K9 - NTSC - patched/decrypted ----- WORKS 100%

MARIO SUPER SLUGGERS - NTSC - patched/decrypted ------ WORKS

Both on USA/NTSC Wii

Question: If I burn a PAL ISO, can I play on NTSC Wii/TV by forcing NTSC?

Again, all patched NTSC:

Mario Kart Wii: CORRECTION FROM LAST POST - MK Wii DOES work, Hook Type should be set to GC pad.

Castle of Shikigami III: Works.

Disaster Day of Crisis: Works, Language still needs to be set to Japanese.

De Blob: Does NOT work. Gives Eject Disc error after selecting a stage.

I don't think the disc read errors are becuase of bad burns de blob was working fine before with 0.1.

I'm seeing a pattern - a lot of these 'Disc cannot be read' errors might be simply due to bad burns.

It's important to note, however, that the "Disc Could Not Be Read" error and the "An Error Has Occured, Please Eject Disc" error are two different things. Personally, I know that my Tenchu 4 is NOT a bad burn, as it worked with Backup Loader 0.1, but gives me the Eject Disc error with 0.3.

Also, hey Trilkin! Didn't know you were on GBATemp as well! How's Ketsui? *lol*

Yeah, I mean Disc Cannot Be Read errors, not Eject. And Ketsui is very hard =)

I tried a new game - the opening cinematic is choppy. I'll assume this is due to the disc read speed, since the Home button trick works... although you're just better off letting it go honestly =P On a completely different note, the part where Kamek blasts Mario needs to be shopping into an 'OWNED!' gif.

These are all patched:

Wii Play NTSC
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga NTSC
Lego Indiana Jones NTSC (audio is a tad bit off sync with video during cinemas)
Lego Batman NTSC
Excite Truck NTSC (menus no longer lag, works great)
Samba De Amigo NTSC (audio actually stays in sync with game throughout entire song now, works perfectly)
Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity NTSC (videos no longer skip at all)
Dave Mirra BMX Challenge NTSC (load times are better but still slow, I've never tried the original disc so I can't compare it, the original might have slow load times as well)
Telly Addicts PAL (Forced NTSC)
Smarty Pants NTSC (went from having a load screen lasting at least 60 seconds long in 0.1 to almost non-existent now. Excellent!)

Carnival Games NTSC (boots, but froze during single player when I tried to select a game. may just be a bad copy or a fluke, I don't care enough about the game to try again)

Super Paper Mario NTSC booted, but I haven't started the game yet, so someone whose save file is at the bad spot should test it.

@BigOnYa, why did you start saying my pc has a hamster in the first place?

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

They went all in on streaming, should have been more of a hybrid approach

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
