One tester reported that Super Paper Mario doesn't load at all, it is now fixed for him.
Fixing bugs for an error that one person gets? Well, you've got more patience than I have - paper mario works for 99% of people so I would have told him to use better discs. ;-)

Alright, I needs some help and I highly doubt sifting through 274 pages will help me faster than you guys;

I have installed the old cIOS from Wai's old loader.
I didn't do anything to it, and I used Wiigator's .1 loader.

Now reading a few guides and having the WiiBackup0.3.zip, I'm utterly confused on what to do.
I've read other people had problems from uninstalling the old cIOS and other nonsensical things

Can someone really help me out to what to do?
I didn't do the cIOS fix if that helps any.

I used this link for the full package...

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=H6UNTZBM

and this guide to install everything. Worked perfectly...

1) backup your current SD card to a temp directory.
2) unpack the .exe onto the card
3) load up the wii and run HBC
4) select install the CISO and install
5) Use a wadmanager to install the backup loader chanel 0.3
6) delete all from the SD card and replace with you backup.

That package came with lots of stuff, but the new cIOS was in there. Try it out...i never even uninstalled the previous cIOS and everything is running smooth as butta!

Hi Wiigator,

this is tested and iam sure of it,

i've installed your latest fix (the one that fixes super paper mario)

tried a decrypted one, it works very flawlessly.
tried 1:1 copy it gives past the wii strap screen game disc could not be read refer to user manual.

Newest wii firmware and HBC .9

I tried using the cIOS installer to overwrite the previous. No go. Used the waninkoko's uninstaller which detected and removed 249. When went to run the cIOS installer again, however, I still received errors. I checked with the uninstaller again just to be sure but no custom IOS was detected. The cIOS installer checks/downloads the approriate stuff and then errors on "ES_AddContentStart(somenumbers)"

Edit: Just read a similar problem further down in the forum. Boy, did I mess that up.

You need to uninstall the old cIOS and (if you want to) DVDx (though it won't impact the 0.3 loader.)
When you installed the cIOS it was probably in WAD form. Just use WAD manager to uninstall it and then install the new cIOS that comes with the 0.3 backup loader.

Also you don't have to sift thought the pages, there is a search button (hidden) in the bottom right corner of every thread.

hey has anyone had a prob where the un-patched versions of MK Wii and Brawl get a disc error after the wii strap info? if theres allready a page discussing it which one...? srry... ... ...

Anyone more knowledgable feel free to correct any mistakes.
Hooktypes are the way the program interfaces with the memory, different types are different locations in memory or ways of "hooking" the process. which just means taking control of or altering running code. Different hooks will also give you different levels of access to the running code.

Vidpatch im not sure but i believe is used for compatablity to patch the video from ntsc to pal and vice versa

anyone still get the "An error has occured" errors after installing the read retry fixed cIOS? I still got the area with deBlob

First things first: WiiGator, Waninoko, thanks for all the effort you're putting in this loader, you're awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are my tests with some games:

Cooking Mama (scrubbed): working flawlessly
Top Spin 3 (scrubbed): working flawlessly (burned on Verbatim DVD-R)
Mario Party 8 (scrubbed): working flawlessly (burned on Verbatim DVD-R)
Trauma Center - Second Opinion (scrubbed): working flawlessly
Zack & Wiki (scrubbed): working flawlessly
Super Mario Galaxy (1:1): working, video strutters a little
Mario Kart Wii (1:1): working, video strutters a little, WiFi working!!!!!
Dragon Quest Swords (scrubbed): working, video strutters a little
Family Ski (scrubbed): Not Working, "remove the disk" error, worked with v0.1

All games are PAL and tested on a PAL Wii, chip GC2-DMS, firmware 3.2E, with default loader options, burned on Verbatim DVD+R booktyped DVD-ROM (except where otherwise noted) with a BENQ DW1670.

Tonight I'm gonna try to apply the new cIOS fix to see if something changes and test Raving Rabbids too.
