Releasing your source code may be difficult, after putting in so much work.. But, it may be the best way to ensure that you are not to blame. I'm guessing that Nintendo would reverse engineer your code if they wanted to force it out with an update anyways

Someone needs to try this with an unpatched backup. It'd be good to know if this is a real beta of 0.3 that someone got their hands on, or an elaborate fake.

Also, the download link should probably be taken down ASAP as well.

I think you misunderstood what I said. I don't think Waninkoko is involved at all... but I do think that's WiiGator. I think he has other reasons for up-and-out quitting like he has done.

Alright, just checked an unpatched backup, and it fails too. So it seems like it's just a very elaborate prank.
I'm quoting my previous post, just to show you guys how it looks when the disk fails (doesn't really matter). It actually checked the IOS files, which is surprisingly elaborate for a prank.

This is how far I got, But I used a patched backup (don't have a non-patched one yet)
