Hacking Backup Launcher by Wiigator

Does anybody know how to use Devkitpro to compile on Windows. Because I am seriously getting pissed off at the command line right about now.

So what happened in the scene?
There are tons of new threads and now wiigator made a loader based off wakinko?
Can anyone fill me in what happened from when wakinko loader got "released" by some mofo without the consent of wakinko up to today?

to sum it up quick


1.) Waninkoko's loader gets leaked
2.) About a week later Wiigator creates a modified version of Waninkoko's Loader it (kicksass! 2)
3.) Wiigator is now working on the next one that can play games as IF there were playing at 6x so the scene is just Bubblin

if nintendo limited the speed to 3x there's must be a reason, perhaps it's more safe for the hardware of the wii, less heat?

Well actually i dont think thats why for the simple fact that modchips run on 6x speed without a problem, But perhaps it might play a factor because you can config a chipped wii to run at 3x? so that just my opinion



EDIT: Youre talking about the DVD speed NOT the actual original 6x speed of the wii thou

Slightly off-topic, but not really:
Wiigator, will your new cIOS have the patches required to run Wii DVD Dumper, because I particularly like that piece of homebrew, and it just so happens to require a specifically patched IOS (correct me if I'm wrong).
If not, will you release your cIOS with a different number, so yours and Waninkoko's can coincide peacefully together (might be a good idea anyway).

i don't think that will possible if wiigator's cios needs dvdx, since dvdx can only be installed to one ios as far as i know, so you might have to choose one/switch back and forth.

Wiigator's cIOS doesn't need DVDx, already confirmed (somewhere)

Yes,would be good if wiigators cIOS works with the DVD Dumper. But as for me, if it doesn't work together I can live with in/deinstalling the cIOS I need at the moment.

Bushing claimed to have found a way to softmod, but tells Nintendo about it
DVDx released to "re-enable" DVD reading (DVD-data mode)
More progress on Storage issue (VC games being played via DVD, but with no save)
Linkinworm releases video of Waninkoko's loader, scene blows up, everyone wants a copy
SOMEONE leaks the program, EVERYONE downloads it, and Waninkoko get's pissed off and says "Screw you guys, I'mma goin home!"... drops project...
Everyone says sorry, Waninkoko says he MIGHT work on it more.

As of now, WiiGator's is out in front if beta 0.3 works the way everyone is claiming it to.

You missed one crucial step: After everyone said sorry, Waninkoko released the source for his Custom DIP Module which REALLY got things moving....

if mariokart is freezing at the start after the wii strap info then use that wii brickblocker thing so it removes the update, if mariokart wii is freezing after the 1st race then install the cIOS_fix thing
