Well done Driscol - a question that hasnt been asked and answered yet !! Ill add that to the Issues and answers thread.

I believe someone was discussing this previously and scrubbed games will work on the new loader but not on the present ones we have unless they are patched as well.

they will work with the new loader. they won't work with the loaders released so far. you have to extract the game partition of your image ("patch") to work with existing loaders. extraction of the game partition is working for both, scrubbed and unscrubbed images.

well, i went to the topic & looked up for about the 5th last pages...didn't see anything about a backup loader channel 0.2, since there are onlly two pages that i've seen that wad 0.2 for the first time

It's just a bit confusingly named. The way I see it, it's version 0.2 of Tgames' CHANNEL, not version 0.2 of the backup loader itself.

@[email protected] thanks, i now know all i need to know about running games on the iso loader.
i download a scrubbed version (or normal), create a partiton from it using the iso patcher and burn it using imgburn at half the speed of my dvd drive.
i then run it with wiigators iso loader.
am i right?

download - assuming you already have the original like the rest of us of course.
scrub
patch
burn at full speed

i just found out wiimusic wont work, green screen error

that should work for you. if not, try other writer/speed/media brand. if that doesn't help use an other combination of loader, cios and dvdx.

for example: i would start with cios_fix, dvdx and the loader by ppc_gba with hooktype disabled and after that try other combos.

To whomever is going to release the new loader: I think I'm not the only one in believing that releasing the source code, together with the compiled loader, is a good idea. It is because wiigator released the source code of his first loader, that we now have a well working cIOS Fixed and a Loader Hook (thingy). So I vote for releasing the source code of your future projects, please consider it (if you weren't already planning on doing that

i allready tried my discs out with the rockband gh3 (i own the original!)
oh and i found something out! if there are colour problems in gh3 customs on a pal wii, then try force pal60.
Edit: i just realized something, it's tommorow! im australian so its 10 to 11, and i HOPE HE RELEASES IT BEFORE I NEED TO GO TO BED

Ok, so the wad is just a sort of new appearence, but not the Wiigator's Loader 0.2 itself, right, that's why i was so cinsfused, i knew the 0.2 was dropped, and i wondered if a beta tester finnaly released it, since it had no more importance with the 0.3 on the way...and i was afraid it wasn't with WIIgator official acknowledgement...

Most people think its a waste of time reading the whole thread - but the time they waste by NOT reading the thread would have been WAAAAAAAAAAAY less than the time they waste trying to figure things out themselves and asking questions that have been asked already.
Most people just want answers now and dont want to research it , but they will learn in time that reading is how you learn things the easy way based on others experiences and people will only answer the same questions about 20 times on here - they give up after that if someone is too lazy to read the thread then why bother helping them at all.

Yup - you hit the nail on the head ... Theres a lot of very handy things being released over the last few days , and they are very good , but because everyone thinks wiigator will release the new loader soon , everyone assumes anything released is the new loader - it causes confusion with everyone , but as soon as its officially released ill have it in my zip and in my signature so look at any post i have made and you'll know its out ... im sure others will do the same.

I keep my zips and how to's as up to date as i can
