The scene of Wii is growing at a rapid speed, while two porters working almost 100%, my goal is to discover the differences between the two.
So I need the help of all of you to be able to collect information from each one.
I hope your help.

Mostly same support considering they both use the same cIOS.
Gamma has GeckoOS and therefore Ocarina cheat code support
Softchip aims to be more than just a backuploader, but a platform

afaik

At the moment you should just use WiiGator's loader, the compatibility is the same for both but WiiGator has cheat and decrypted discs support. Maybe there will be a fix for some games in SoftChip soon, but it's too early to tell if it's really possible or to tell when this fix will be released.

I wouldn't use softchip, it doesn't support the Wii's real time clock. Well, I tried to play my Animal Crossing game, and it totally fucked it up, setting the date forward to 1/1. Making all my animals hate me paha.. Soooo... Yeah

The clock was fixed in r51, they're on r58.

I'd pick SoftChip since it's open source and they're working on their own DIP module, plus they're going to add IOS patching to 249 for problem games.
Why not just have both and switch between them, depending on your needs and if the game works or not? ;]
