I know that I cannot PLAY gamecube games with a USB loader, but can USB Loader GX read Gamecube games and back them up? I would like to backup the ones I own to the HDD and then burn them via the created iso.

No, it just comes up as a 0Mb size if you try, and will not proceed.

Ok thanks, I will try to find an alternate way to backup my Gamecube games

Try WiiDump

Thank you that one seems to work great, it took about 90 minuted to dump Super Mario Sunshine, I also found one called SuperDump which is said to be fast and work for Gamecube games but I haven't tried it yet.

you can't dump on a pc without a 'special' drive, right? or have things changed which makes the above post true?

Is anyone planning on adding support for GameCube games to any USB loader?
I certainly have a lot of GameCube games on my PC but I don't want to buy a ton of DVDs and burn them when I have a external HD for the Wii. :/

Not at the moment, but Configurable USB Loader may add it sometime in the near future. It's one of the most requested features and knowing oggzee, he'll have a lot of time to try and implement it somehow

img burn is kinda dodgy
dont think you need a special drive though.

Original gamecube discs can't be read on a PC as they aren't standard.
However burnt gamecube discs are readable on a PC.

and i thought loading gc games from usb was IMPOSSIBLE

because all the wii hardware (usb ports) turn off/get disabled when it switches over to gc mode.
or do they think it is possible to keep them enabled or something?

I want a handheld gaming system with a tablet sized screen, like a 8 or10" screen, with controllers that can detach like the Switch.

I don't see the buzz about a square screen personally. I think there will be a review on the site within a few weeks though if you are interested.

I've put down the money on the Odin 2 Mini since I just love that Vita form factor. Loved the power of the Odin 2 but the size always put me off, this one seems exactly what I've been wanting.

I don't care about the square screen it's just nice to hold something you don't have to stretch your arms a foots length

All these things expecting to be super huge is overrated just run a type c cable to your TV if you want a big display or in my case screen mirror it

On the go tho I meant, I use my 10" tablet and a Bluetooth controller for retro gaming while sitting on my porch or on long car rides sometimes. Easier on my eyes than the Switch screen.

My point is we already have enough shit with big displays having something pocketable with up to ps2 would be fine on the go

Ken unless the games are made for that screen size most suck on a screen that size... Having a square screen and being brighter and higher res helps but it's not a cure all, text is tiny bullets are tiny, your.... Well lol

You can stretch to fit probably it's not all bad that they make it seem to be
