I take games a console at a time. So I don't have a massive backlog unless I include my constants.

3DS: Project X zone
DS: Solatorobo
Wii U: Little Inferno
Wii: Spectrobes (a real surprise gameplay wise.)
GC: Skies of arcadia (suffered a save wipe T_T on the yellow moon)
PSVita: P4g
PSP: Mana Khemia (via vita)
PS3: EX Troopers
PS2: Dragon Quest 8
PS1: Final Fantasy 9
360:Bioshock Infinite

Constants
Monster hunter 3U (good party game)
Skullgirls (cause fighting game)
Guilty Gear (cause fighting game)
Bloody Roar: Primal Fury (Cause fighting game)
Animal Crossing: New Leaf
Klonoa door to phantomile (I just give it tons of repeat playings)
Ni no Kuni (due to length)
Chocobo racing (Biding my time for news on the 3DS game, which has been silent for years)
Deus ex Human rev (I fucking love this game way to much to just stop)

Far Cry 3
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon
Bioshock Infinite
Tomb Raider
Halo Reach
Fable 3
Sonic Generations
Tales of Vesperia
Lost Planet
Project Sylpheed
Red Steel 2
Assassins Creed 3
Project X Zone

and these are just ones I have now. In a few months this will be longer.

The Backloggery link in my signature should reveal just how many dozens of unfinished games I have. :P That said, I've made a point in the last few months of completing the "major" games in my backlog that I'd already made reasonable progress in (seriously, I was drowning in about 5 games at one point, some of which I had started years ago). Now when it comes to single-player games, I try to make a general rule of "seriously" working on only 2 games at a time (one console game, and one handheld game). That said, while I took care of most of the console games I was drowning in, I'm drowning in quite a few handheld games still, like...

The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages (the "major" handheld game I'm working on right now. Not falling behind or anything, though. After I beat this, I'll move onto Oracle of Seasons and then Link's Awakening, because I want to finish all the games featuring aLttP's Link before the 3DS game comes out).

-Kirby Super Star Ultra (not really, I beat most of the major modes, but I still need to beat the Arena Boss rush mode, and the "Helper to Hero" Boss Rush that follows)

-Metroid Prime: Hunters (I really want to just give up on this game, I really do, but I'm a serious Metroid fan, especially Metroid Prime, so I feel kind of obligated.)

-Yoshi's Island DS (I'm making an exception to my "one handheld game" rule for this one, because I want to beat it before Yoshi's New Island comes out

-Mega Man (3DS VC) (been working on this one casually since it first hit the eShop. I've been making more progress lately, though. I eventually want to beat all 6 original games, and then grab Mega Man 7 and 8 on the Anniversary Collection for PS2, and then probably play 9 and 10 as well)

-Mighty Switch Force! 2 (I loved the first one, so I grabbed this as soon as I could. Figured I can work on this casually every now and then to destress from other games)

-Metroid Prime Pinball (I tell myself that this is another "casual time waster," but you'd be amazed by how hardcore I get into this game XD)

And that's mostly it. There are quite a few other titles, but I haven't progressed enough in most of them for me to really put them on my "priority list," so to speak.
