Apple Backing up and restorning orginal iOS question

I'm planning to sell my Ipod Touch 3rd gen 32gb (200 usd) and I wanted to restore it to default with everything wiped. Can I just do that through Itunes? Also is there any app jailbroken or not to take a image of my Ipod incase no one wants to buy it?

Currently on 4.0 jailbroken.

Just restore with iTunes.that will wipe everything.and I have no idea what you are talking about for image.

Yeah, just backup your iPod, then you can restore it anytime even after you erased it. Although I think it's smarter to just not erase it until you find a buyer.
