I love MCD. Your just a complete dick. Wait you will get your merchandise you little prick.

I got it just fine. And I'm not sure why you shouldn't love MCD. They sent me what I ordered.

They didn't notify any customers for fulfillment issues and they didn't alert any shoppers — that's the whole point of my post. My behavior is not the issue nor am I apologizing for it.

When MCD gets the blue Sky3ds cards in I'm going to buy one from them. Just because the OP is a prick.


Why? Forget about me — I'm not your friend or the issue. Just order from whomever can give you what they advertise. At the time of posting MCD wasn't providing what's advertised. Have you ever been to restaurant with an out-of-order restroom? Do you notice how they put a sign on the door alerting people?

It's even easier to create that sign if you run eCommerce.

Just ordered a GW from ModchipsDirect thanks to OP's encouraging words :)

No really I had a good experience with them before (unlike WCRepairs... they canceled my order without even giving my money back...) so we'll see how it goes this time around.

Curious how it went...

Yep. They were on Gateway's official reseller list when I was looking for one. Before the site tanked...

The fact that they were tied for cheapest, and the fact that I could spite this OP, is why I ordered one from them.
 
They're legit. Got a card from them a month ago for a gift, and getting another one for myself on Monday. They're still the cheapest for the US when I looked Tuesday.
 
It's for this very reason you should have been a bit more "decent?" to them. If you had not come off as such a dick in the very first message to them, then the rest of the conversation might have been justified. I have a habit of blowing shit out of proportion and being a "dick" too. Usually though, only after being pushed to that point and usually only in response to someone being a "dick" first.


I only thought my last response was bad. And it was. It was rude, I was upset. I don't really feel unwarranted for saying anything before like:

It's because I work in eCommerce that I said this. It wasn't antagonistic. Retail is a bloodbath. If you can't get the right product to the right person at the right time, you lose. Only a handful of brands have developed a true reputation for excellence, and I believe MCD is probably top class for what they do. So when I'm speaking with a Chinese rep who avoids being informative while pretending to be in a personal crisis — I get upset. Especially when something as simple as, "We can't fulfill your order due to recent erratic weather — we were scheduled to ship before the storm, but it has totally halted outgoing orders. Please advise if you'd like a full refund or prefer to wait while this passes." That should have been their first response. Instead it was "back off" and "shit's going down".


For what it's worth, ModChipsDirect is a really good seller in my experience. I ordered from them, and got my card promptly in 4 days with no issues. Absolutely no problems with them. It's really great to have a seller in the US now, as ordering my DSTwo from China years ago was a hassle.

After reading your post, OP, those were very extenuating circumstances, and I wouldn't expect a simple reseller to have a set-in-stone protocol for such a thing. Your words came off as very combative, offensive, and completely selfish. To be frank, I ordered from MCD in spite of you for being so callous. Thanks, by the way - I hadn't heard of them before your post came along, and I couldn't have asked for better service.

I find it likely that you gave them a few more customers (like myself) rather than destroy some of their income like you obviously intended to.

Thanks :D! I saw ModchipCentral, but the Android version of Chrome said they aren't a credible site for personal data... Either should work, as they are within the same price range!
 
You're still trying to justify this? Was MCD in the right? No. However, you aren't either. Your experience in the field doesn't mean you "know the game". Truly, you should have cancelled your order and moved on. You couldn't wait for a snow storm? Then you should have taken your business elsewhere. The whole spiel didn't need to happen.

<sigh> I've ordered twice from MCD and both times They shipped the next day or on Monday if I ordered during the weekend. And both times my tracking on USPS looked like this:

I posted this in another thread, and I'm sorry if others have seen it before. Ordered that during Thanksgiving weekend (Sunday actually) and unless MCD can get shit from Asia to their shipping depot in Buffalo in less than 24 hours so that they can fake being in the US (this is not plausible... AT ALL... REALLY!!!)... They most certainly have stock in Buffalo, NY.

OP: I'm not saying they didn't fuck up w/ your order. They should have alerted you about the problems. But I think your assumptions and then your behavior based on them were out of line. Then you get on the 'temp and spill your assumptions as fact and post dialog, that frankly I think you should be embarrassed about and not be advertising, assuming again that the rest of us would accept your "evidence" as binding.

My experience w/ them has been good, yours has been bad... I get that. Your claims that they do not ship out of Buffalo are clearly bullshit. If you doubt my tracking snap shot, then track this on USPS: 420973029400111899561012540352 , it will produce the same results. Go ahead and complain about them and your experience, but please stop playing "detective" and posting your "facts".

No, I'm not patient. People like me are why Amazon offers 2-Day shipping to Prime Customers. People like me are why MCD advertises their super fast shipping all over their site.

Many people in this thread have purchased from MCD, myself included, in part because of this thread, and how we sympathise with MCD for having to deal with the OP.

Considering the sheer amount of people in this thread recommending them, I'd say any losses would be negligible.
 
I ordered a DStwo from MCD back in 2013, and they sent me the DStwo box with no card in it. I was beyond shocked, as I immediately realized the absurdity of the situation, and that I'd be accused of mail fraud if I dared complain about it, which is exactly what happened. They still ended up refunding me, but made me feel extremely bad about it and I'm sure I got added to several "industry" blacklists, despite the fact one of their employees was clearly ripping their customers off. A really upsetting experience, at any rate. Would not recommend.
 
Dont know what this guy was raging about, MCD sent me notification that there would be a delay, not only once did they tell me but twice, i have respect for them i ordered many stuff from them they are fast, although i prefer realhotstuff since im in the same state as them


EDIT: on top of that baffalo was alllll and and i mean allllllllll over the news with the snow, even the news stations said that most places could not operate.... regardless of how impatiant you are, your simply ignorant. thats like blaming nintendo for besybuy being closed on the night a game releases... MCD does not deliever their own packages.... -_-

Get off your pedestal. No one gives a shit if you work in eCommerce. All that matters is that you're being absolutely deplorable, and to tell you that it's sickening me doesn't even touch the surface.

I'm not in e-commerce but I've had orders online being held up before, especially with FEDEX last yr. Its not the shippers fault if the shipping company can't pull through because of bad weather. Shit happens and not everyone is perfect in what they do. Go ahead and try to tell me your life is perfect in anyway. Yeah MCD is wrong with replying back unprofessionally but all you need to do was get the message across, "if my order hasn't ship within 24 hrs please cancel my order and start the process for my refund". That fuckin simple. You act like a smart ass, they can throw you at the bottom of the list of orders to go out, not like anybody knows how the order goes out anyways.
