Knowing that several familiar faces are returning kind of has my attention, but I've been hearing very mixed feedback about the latest batch of Marvel movies.

Wait a second, December 18, 2026? I thought the release was just around the corner, but I admit I haven't been paying close attention. Still, I hope it gives Marvel time to really polish it up.

Rumor has it, it was shot from Start to Finish in 4 months... so go figure the amount of VFX Marvel is doing right now (well not really, probably currently editing a coherent story) and some old actors where conplaining about: "I was acting but talking to nobody, it made me feel bad" (though can't remember who exactly).

I'd say it's going to be wild, there's no point of not using Tony Stark as a Variant.
Probably it'll start with Dr. Doom getting rid of the Kangs to justify Majors' retirement + "Doom is so powerful it got rid of Kang Dynasty, it's why we need Thor and Steve Rogers to teach the NEW WestCoast Avengers how to fight Tony Stark"

Where's the xmen trailer???
It was a leak. Probably got taken down. You'll see it maybe next week from Marvel themselves.

Interesting. I did some one-second research, and I guess about five months is the average for an Avengers movie. Even so, four is on the lower side, so I would expect plenty of CG.

I forgot about the actor controversy. (I haven't seen any Marvel movies since Endgame.) It must be difficult to have a multi-film storyline planned only to have a scandal change everything.

Just should've recasted Majors, a variant literally.
But if i'm honest, Kang < MotherFucking DOOM!

What are Dr. Doom's powers, anyway? While we're on the subject, what are his motivations?

TL;DR: I do not know my comic book lore, but I did enjoy the first batch of Marvel movies.

None, Super Intellect & Depends on who writes him.
Sonetimes he's just smarter than Stark, sometimes smarter than Reed (Fantastic 4) sometimes he gets god powers. Sometimes Doom tricks magical beings (Dormamu, Mephisto, Thanos with Infinity Stones, Scarlet Witch, etc.)

BUT here's my guess:

Superior IronMan (Tony Star / Robert Downey Jr.)
Fails to remove shrapnel from chest so uses Extremis to treat himsel, slowly poisons himself and gets morally corrupted. Enslaved entire population and kills other heroes names himself Doom instead of IronMan.

Why it's important?
If you've seen IronMan 2, Extremis is the protagonist of the story.

Another Superior IronMan story is when Tony Stark and Victor Von Doom interchanges body.

Now, we have three possible outcomes for "Doomsday":

- Tony Stark Variant: Uses Extremis, becomes Doom. Tries to wipe out Multiverse.

- Doom and Stark: They literally interchanges souls by branching timelines or something. They're both Tony Stark, but one is IronMan and the other Doom. Maybe Mephisto did it.

- Doom Variant: Avengers Doomsday features Victor Von Doom that "happens to look a lot like Tony Stark" and it's the "anchor point" (explained in Deadpool & Wolverine).

Man, you've thought a lot about this. I feel like I know just enough prerequisite knowledge to follow along.

I think I may have seen Iron Man 2 once, so I genuinely cannot remember anything about it. I haven't seen Deadpool & Wolverine, though I hear that's one of the stronger movies in the latest batch.

TL;DR: Tony Stark + Victor Von Doom (and maybe + Extremis) = Doom and/or Doomsday. Maybe Mephisto did it. (That was for you, @Lostbhoy.)

Speculation based on the cómics I've read.
Of course, Extremis is the common denominator that links:
- IronMan - Extremis - Doom -

So don't see why do the:
- Variants
- Multiverse
- RDJr
- Extremis is in this case a happy accident

Besides, I can only hope given the SJW treatment recent Marvel movies had, it's very plausible that I'm 200% wrong.
But it'd be a better story than:

- Oops, TonyStark was a Skrull all along, here's the real no fake TonyStark that it's not actually a Stark but Von Doom raised by the Starks because wholesome... wait, this plot would actually lead to Secret Wars and New Avengers 🫥

That reminds me, I think it's fascinating that Marvel has made so many off-shoot TV shows in the last few years, from Meta Moon Knight to Ms. Marvel to Secret Invasion. I remember when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. seemed like an interesting experiment against Arrow's success. (I had to look it up, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. was 2013. Arrow was 2012, and The Flash was 2014. So, the DC Arrowverse hadn't yet ballooned into what it became.) I'd argue that they've saturated the market, making any one release less of an event for its audience.

Personally, I've never had an interest in digging that deep. I like sticking with the movies.

If I'm honest, I've been reading the comics since I was in 3rd grade (around 2002/2003). Stopped, then went full on time around 2012.
MARVEL Movies doesn't surprise me that much and most of the times I already "spoiled myself" just because I read the comics 10 years ago.
Not gonna lie, PostCredit scenes are fun to watch, allows me to "oh! and now "that" is going to happen". Hércules in Thor: Love and Thunder is because upcoming NEW Avengers... (the Team literally called "NEW Avengers" with Hércules as leader) possibly somewhere between "Avengers Secret Wars" (Skrull against "The Real Heroes").

I love when i'm wrong though, it's the only resdon why I'm still sticking with the movies, besides of course, Eye Candy.

Deadpool 4 will probably be either: "X Factor" or "West Coast Avengers" if they're feeling bold and edgy (and probable Gwenpool debut).

Interesting. So, here's the thing: How accurate are the movies to the comics?

Final answer must be in the form of a percentage.

🍌 Absolutely 💯
🐉❌ no wait, 🐍❌ no, 🦕❌, 🐬❌, 🐋❌
Okay final answer: 🐳❌
Okay final answer: 🦑❌ 🐙❌ 🪼❌
Okay final answer: 🍌❌

Would you like me to give you a recipe instead?

Okay, here's your answer: 50%, but just because they're loosely based on Comic Canon and Mythology (understand "Mythology" as in: Lore, Character Names).
There's a reason why MCU is called MCU (MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE)

Listen, I understood you at WHALE-X, you didn't have to belabor the whole thing.

TL;DR: I appreciate the answer. I don't always get to hear from people that actually read the comics.
