Hello. I want to ask everyone if there is a hardware mod that I can do with my PSone?
The issue with it is the disc drive, which doesn't work anymore, and I am asking if there is an option for mostly loading homebrew apps or load games I already own.
Thanks!

There's such thing as a 'modchip' that requires basic soldering skills to install, it involves burning code to a PIC microcontroller commonly a PIC12C508. This will allow booting burnt CDs or games from any region.

ODEs are another solution, but they are expensive and that it replaces the pre-existing disc drive. The PSIO can load games off an SD card from the parallel port; although, it is possible to modify the slim models to support it.

You can have a look at what mods can be offered here: https://consolemods.org/wiki/PS1:PS1_Mods_Wiki
