I see the file names but I can't see the offsets. Are the offsets reversed like in GBA roms or do WADs use a different format?

Thanks, keep us the good work!

Keep in mind the 05.app file (called a U8) contains a ccf file which contains the genesis rom and other files. The offsets are little-endian (reverse hex chain) for the ccf, and big-endian for the U8.

Oops for double posting, but I really need testers that has been getting the 4100 install error. I may have a fix, but since wads work perfectly for me in the first place I can't test the new code.

I can't seem to get this to work... When I use the GUI, I get:
waiting for final injected wad
And it hangs.

When I use the Command Prompt tool, I can't get past:
n00b protection failed.

I don't undertand it. Can someone help me?

1st make sure you're using the most recent version, check the first post.

2nd you need to have common-key.bin in the same folder. Don't ask where to get it, that's against the rules, google it.

I have the file. I'm not sure if it's the right file however...

And I do have the latest version.

EDIT: I had the wrong common-key.bin file. All works good now

you should be able to find the correct md5 for the file on teh webz, then check to see if your file has the same one.

For the devs (or anyone who has knowledge on the subject)

What defines the ticket for the finished, injected wad. It is just a copy of the original wad ticket or is it based on something else (god forbid it might be...random). Trying to come up with a solution to my lost wad problem but I don't know how the trucha signer works within the confines of this program, or even if that is what create the ticket in this. Thanks.

You can set what ticket name you want in the injector.ini file.

We put the info in the readme file:
Injector.ini:
region - Region number
randomticket - Set to 1 if you want a new VC channel for the injected wad.
ticketname - If randomticket is set to 0 this three letter code will be the channel's ticket name.
delaytime - Set 0-9, if you have cert folder error set this to 9, else set to 0

omg can someone walk this through with me? I want to play donkey kong 64 and banjo kazzooie

That's good to know, thanks. I guess that means I need to find out what the 3 letter combo is on the wad I create, then I could potentially set that to the standard ticket name and theoretically uninstall it with a newly created wad using the same ticket. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

If I can't figure out what it is I jsut need to create 17000 wads to see if I can recreate the same ticket randomly XD

Haven't tried injecting donkey kong 64. It might not be playable.

thanks, why is the n64 compatibility list so low? Will it improve? is there an instruction read me around here on how to use this? The one that came with it didn't help.

the emulators are programmed specifically to support the one game they come with. that other games work sometimes is merely a lucky coincidence.
