Hardware Audio does/doesn't work...

So normally in games and others, the audio doesn't work which led me to believe that the speakers might be broken or something. However, investigating further, when going into the browser and typing in something such as a URL, it makes a sound which is weird. Can anybody tell me what is going on or how to fix?

Sounds like your speakers are broken. Sometimes broken speakers make squeaking sounds or work sometimes, then fizzle out again. I'm sure you can get replacements for the speakers on amazon and such. Or you could send it to Nintendo to fix if it's a stock console that you aren't going to CFW.
