Reinvent the wheels.
Great accomplishment and huge potential from a programmer/hacker's perspective.
Totally useless from an average pirated game player's perspective. (Since TX Pro has out-of-the-box tools, ease of use/install/upgrade, piracy support and .xci support.)

Actually, I did a breakdown of this earlier in another thread and they never stated they had a coldboot or warmboot. In fact, its possible they have both according to their official statement.
I'll leave the original statement here for reference as I break it down point by point.

https://twitter.com/SciresM/status/1023601239701958656https://twitter.com/hexkyz/status/1023588624296685568 Snippets of this analysis also included how the claim TX had isn't applicable to Mariko and was kept for future reference. Also in case anyone wants to quote me on this, this is not aimed at discrediting TX nor believing they will fail to deliver on a product for the patched consoles nor Mariko. This is to shed some light on some of the points they touched and how possibly vague they were.
None of the warmboot entry points are easy to use thats for sure the other cold boot methods require a ipatch of your own one cold boot method still works but limited because can only send a very small payload plus a few very private ones tx dont have .

No they said they have another coldboot exploit to see why their dongle didn't work and that you could normally cannot see that in RCM mode so they said that for the people watching that they have a coldboot exploit themselves to check up on stuff like this wich you can't with an RCM exploit since that had been patched. They never ever said they were gonna release that exploit but everybody started ripping it out of context and made those claims. I advise you to read again what they said

If they don't release the exploit how are they going to get their software to work?

they never said something about that, they said to even boot a system that was patched they needed something different then RCM since that was patched to see what was causing it not to boot in 2 RCM. They didn't claim they were releasing exploits but looking for a way to use SXOS

Probably they are creating features that even SX OS doesn't offer and they will release them as updates, just like what is TX doing at the moment (despite the fact that they say they are updating SX OS and adding new features, in reality they already have those features ready and they didn't release them in the first version so that they can prove what they claim about keeping SX OS updated, well that doesn't mean that they aren't working on new features now)

You're kidding right? I think you mean they are waiting for other teams/individuals to release stuff so they can claim it as theirs in anupdate :ha:.

Anyway. Can't wait for the release. Can finally dust off the switch and mess around with it.

Haha no I meant if they release something lower than SX everyone will be disappointed, so probably they are developing new features so that their release will create a wow effect and maybe on top of that they are developing even more features that they will release gradually as updates. Just my opinion.

    @Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

    At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    @Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

    @SylverReZ,
    I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

    @SylverReZ,
    I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

    @Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
