TBH I own a 64Gb mSD and I am still good... actually, I have DECIDED that I am and WILL be good until 200GB mSD get in 30€ range (and I hope it happens soon).
i got mine for around 40euros (i think it was about 50something $ on sale Amazon) black friday deal.

good to know it is sufficient so far, how many games do you have on your mSD? cx

Most my games are physical.
Let me recall...
On my mSD I have 99% indie games:
  • GoNNER
  • Golf Story
  • Shantae 1/2 Genie
  • Celeste
  • Blaster Master Zero
  • Mighty Gunvolt Burst
  • Oxenfree
  • Minecraft
  • I am Setsuna
  • Fast RMX
  • Rudymical
  • Sonic Mania
  • Kamiko
Some game demos:
  • Monster Hunter XX
  • Dragon Quest Heroes
  • AeternoBlade
  • Pokken Tournament DX
  • Rayman Legends
  • Puyo Puyo Tetris
  • Project OCTOPATH
  • Spelunker
  • Snipperclippers
And some additional data (e.g. voice packs, DLCs, updates) for:
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2
  • TLOZ: Breath of the Wild
  • Super Mario Odyssey
  • Mario + Rabbids
  • Disgaea 5
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
If I didn't get my main games physical, sure this thing would be full.
Right now I still have 39GB free.

Doom is 13.4GB and the Multiplayer is a 9GB separate download, plus the just released Update, that im not sure how much it weights.

I'm not even touching WWE 2K18 with a stick.
Regarding the other two, well, it's good I still don't own them. I hope the mSD prices go down before I need the space.

I think I'll use my 32gb 3ds microsd that I use rarely, hope it's enough, also don't forget the Switch has 25gb of free space inside.

If you think sd prices are going down any time soon you have no clue about the tech industry right now. If anything you'll see an increase in price this year due to nand storage shortages.
Even then you wont see the remarkable change in price you are expecting with normal tech price decreases.

No problem. I can wait. And anyway, the placement of new products will force a drop in price of older ones, want ir or not, as 512GB mSD cards become more common, 200GB card must have to drop price. And if they don't, I have no problem really, I am just saying that I don't need a big card now in a justifiable enough fashion as to pay 60€ for it.

Sorry, probably I'm not very smart but I still don't know how to do.

My switch is on 3.0.2. In the first post ScireM said not to update (stay in it) but then he said that it's safe to update from 3.0.2 to 4.1.0.

What should I do? Why the first post has not been modified?

Thank you.

If you're on 3.0.2, then you are free to update to 4.1 if you need to. You will very likely get access to homebrew and CFW at the same time regardless of if you're on 3.0.2 or 4.1. You should block updates after you've made your decision, because a new update (e.g. 4.2 or 5.0) will likely patch things.

To summarize, you can update to 4.1 if you're on 3.0.2, but you should stay on 4.1 if you do update.

Mose indie games are pretty small.

this is wrong he didnt say its safe to upgrade to 4.1.0 , its better to stay on 3.0.2 so you will get the fun sooner , ofc 4.1.0 got trust zone hacks but it will be the last firmware to be supported

Actually iirc SciresM stated somewhere that 3.0.x will get cfw at that same time 4.x gets it. Meaning you might as well update to stock up on games for the wait. Could be recalling wrong so someone can correct me if I'm incorrect.

This is incorrect. From my understanding, 3.0.1 and 3.0.2, use the same hack (Deja Vu) that 4.1.0 uses, so these 3 are equivalent. Jamais Vu related hack will be released first because the exploit for it has already been patched, but Deja Vu hacks are still working on latest firmware, and may not have been discovered by nintendo yet. I would expect if they are patched in 4.2.0/5.0.0 (whatever is next) that they too will be released as they are no longer "being saved".

Only Xbox I don't have is the OG, and One X model specifically, I regret giving my chipped OG model to one of my kids years ago, after later hearing he sold it to pawn shop, damn kids!

I just recently picked up a n64 from a garage sell, and looking to mod it and add a HDMI port to it. https://www.ebay.com/itm/3548173115...044&customid=4f3038da73b61afddf7e5e90f4153856
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I'd like to find a power strip and HDMI selector built in 1 unit, so I can select which game system I want, and will switch to that hdmi, and power on that plug/power supply only, so don't have all game systems powered all the time, but can't find anything like. May just have to make something myself.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Maybe start a kick starter page and sell them, yea right. Big N would prob C&D me, not anything Big N related, but just because that's what they do nowdays. Then come out with they own in a year or so.

@Xdqwerty, Nice. Which operating system are you installing?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, windows 10 and some linux distro like linux mint
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    dualbooth
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
    Speaking of which
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ,
I also recall my brother downloded a "non bloated" version of windows 11 on his pc

  • impeeza @ impeeza:
@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
