Certainly...
python3 ./usb_total.py ./gamename.xci

or just

python ./usb_total.py ./gamename.xci

Also, after typing python, you can type usb and press tab, it should autocomplete the text, same will work with the game name also. Will save you some time typing it all out ^_^(at least i think it works, i've never used a mac).

Wait... I think I understand what you are talking about.. I have to put yati.nro first before doing Mac to switch through terminal right ?

It doesn't matter which order you do it in. You can open yati and select usb install, it'll just wait until a connection is made. Same with the python script, itll just wait until a connection is made.

I got it.. I select USB Install from Switch and click usb_total.py and terminal pop up.

Getting file magic....
Got wrong magic 18902b8f16

I press B and selected xci install...

All set and it works fine and running as well.

One question.. Why the word : Got wrong magic number ? :)

Ah yes. It basically checks the magic of the file to understand what the file type is. So it first checks if its an nsp, then it checks if its an xci.

When printing errors, I have the app pause until I press B (this was useful for debugging). Obviously, in this case it shouldn't really flag it as an error. But yeah thats's why ;).

Awesome. Good job. Are you going to improve it further like beautiful GUI, multiplying XCI files instead of one XCI at the time ?

I never heard of this one. Why didn't it mentioned before ? Works as charmed for me. I am so happy finally able to install XCI files. :D

Glad it worked for you! :grog:

I haven't made an official release for the app because it's far from complete. The readme on my https://github.com/ITotalJustice/Yati explains everything that i wanted to achieve, sadly I have no motivation to work on it further. Plus, a complete code rewrite would be in order as when i first started making it, I was learning everything as I went along. There was no real planning / structure for it (aka, the code isn't great).

That is so sad. Your program is the first that works for me miraculously and I tried XCI game and its playing without a problem. Unbelievable! :)

Last question.. Are you working something that I am not aware of or are you working on XCI installer even better than this one or something like that ?

I'm not working on anything else to replace yati, sadly.

The only similar that im making is a gamecard installer. Yati has this function, but this new app will only install gamecards (as in the physical carts, not .xci, although it could easily be changed to install anything). The reason Im making this is because it'll be much much easier to maintain and more fun to work with. Heres a preview of it.

It looks so nice and I like it but I hope maybe you can add .xci as install as well.

Thanks! However I won’t be adding support for other filetypes other than gamecards. I’d rather this app very good at one thing, instead of being a jack of all trades master of none ;)

You're welcome. I totally understand. At leas Yati works fine with XCI games. Cheers.
