Which SSD would you recommend?
It must be an SSD with a cable so that I can connect it to the Asus Rog Ally.
Since I don't know how to install a new SSD on my Rog Ally.

I don't want to use any other drive, I'm only going to install Steam and games I have on my Steam account.

Depend on what you want if you want internal then you need to upgrade the drive if you want bigger drive, if you want external drive then just get a enclosure that has like a usb c to usb c port.

You are better off getting a internal drive though since you don't have a hard drive dangling around, beside if you have a steam library should get a steam deck instead.
I can't afford to buy the Steam deck it's very expensive. I could afford to buy the Asus Rog Ally since I bought it used for 2300 NOK.

Why would you need a bigger HDD/SSD? I've the Rog ally X, and I've a few games installed, but tbh, I can only play 1 game at a time, so anything I play I just complete then move on, alternatively you can use xcloud etc if you have game pass. I've about 3 games installed on mine, just for travelling etc, or to grab the double stack XSX/PC.

Personally I wouldn't replace the SSD, i'd probably pay a pro to do it, but i'd be nervous to mess it up, even though it's only 7 screws and a ribbon cable. IIRC, the ribbon cable is quite small and can be damaged quite easily, but im sure there are people that would happily do it for you.
