Followed this tutorial here: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-4-(Getting-the-OTP) word for word, triple-checked, all the way from part one on a New 3DS and everything went extremely smoothly until part 4, section 2, step 23. Console seems pretty damned bricked to me. Guide was actually written pretty damn good too (not pinning this on anyone). Tried rebooting with and without micro-sd multiple times. Tried entering safemode and nope. I have thoroughly rechecked the guide for user error and checked my micro-sd and no proof of user error. Just a big reminder to people who are thinking about installing a9lh, just know that there are definitely risks involved (and if you believe in God, around section 2, step ~20 is when you need to start praying). I took my risk and diarrhea came raining from the sky. Not sure if other threads like these are buried or I am legitimately one of the first person to post about this. Any suggestions, criticisms, fixes, comments? I personally think it's because I skipped step section 2, 21, but that's just what I think. I also have NAND backups so it's not a complete paperweight just yet.

I bricked my console.
You did step 17, right? The guide I used was slightly different, and had me un-brick the nand dump on a PC. It sounds like you flashed a bad nand to your system nand considering that recovery mode wont even boot. I'd strongly suggest restoring a good backup, and trying again. It seems that the guides for new/old 3ds were merged since I did my consoles

Yep, and it told me it unbricked successfully so wtf.. yeah and they did merge, but when you say you "suggest restoring a good backup", you mean by hardmod correct?

Not sure then... unless it un-bricked the wrong dump? Not sure how this other un-bricker works
Oh damn, didn't think of that. Now that I think about it I don't think it even asks which NAND it wants you to unbrick. I had 3 NAND backups on my SD as well, "NAND_emu.bin", "NAND.bin", and "emuNAND_formatted". Edit: Yeah it doesn't ask which NAND it wants to unbrick, it just goes on ahead:

It unbricks the emuNAND, not a backup.
Once it's unbricked the emuNAND, you're supposed to backup the emuNAND and restore that to sysNAND.

Oh my B, yeah that makes a bit more sense. Doesn't matter though because I did exactly just that what you said anyway.
