Gonna take a look on all the issues you found.
Anyways, i hope anyone did not brick.
Also for the warnings, they should not be anything unsafe

@delebile lots of compiler warnings on your current tree. I'm not sure how safe it actually is. Unlike what the README.md says, "make hax" only builds the .pack. Opened 2 issues.

Can't seem to use BootAnim9 or FakeBrick9 after updating my A9LH

EDIT: Can't launch any payload it seems

EDIT 2: New A9LH can't launch CTRBM9. All old problems are resolved now

These problems are now fixed in the latest commits, take a look.

It fails on "Hacked Firm0" when trying to update. I have a N3DS, with the previous arm9loader installed.

I put the required files into data_input, I checked the hashes, they are good... The pack should be correct, I guess...
Any more infos for this?

Doesn't explain what the 'big software update' is.

Compiling didn't work since pack tool's makefile is missing to create the folder common/pack_tool

The current needs the folder like this, or it won't work: arm9loaderhax\common\common\pack_tool

GCC or MinGW (Only needed to compile the buildt-in tool, you can download [a pre-compiled windows build here](https://mega.nz/#!j0RkxLjb!4Am-3yDAR9g4VDxY93pWhXVYNDiylSW1cKJntOLfDWU), place it in **common** folder)

The "big update" thing was that the previous work was prerry rushed up and confused, and i rewritten some parts in order to make them work in a cleaner and safer way, added the requested features that other forks added, and implemented a new way to install content.
So actually that's all, the main fork can be used again.

I'm getting the same issue he's getting on my jpn-n3ds.

Current installed a9lh: commit 91c4193 on Mar 8

Compiled the latest: commit dd9c3a5j with the same data_input dependency files (hashes match the readme) + otp.bin. Placed arm9loaderhax.pack onto my SD root. set ctrbootmanager9 to load /3ds/arm9loaderhax/arm9loaderhax.bin binary.

Here's the screen output:
Code:
Full Installation Pack
    [FAIL] Hacked Firm0
    [GOOD] Legit Firm1
    [GOOD] Hacked KeySector
    [GOOD] Secondary Payload
ERROR : 1 content files are corrupted!
ERROR : The instalation pack is corrupted!

Press A to exit...

Ok.. I have been resisting posting on this topic, mainly for the fear of the usual "read the readme" comments etc...

But in a nutshell would someone kindly mind explaining the benefit of this latest release please

Thank you in advance :)

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
